Imahinasyon lang umano ni Ombudsman Jesus Crispin “Boying” Remulla ang sinasabi nitong warrant of arrest ng International Criminal Court (ICC) laban kay Senador Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa.
Ito ang pahayag ni Atty. Nicholas Kaufman, abogado ni dating Pangulong Rodrigo “Digong” Duterte, na humahawak sa mga kaso nito kaugnay ng crimes against humanity sa ICC.
“There is nothing to suggest that the supposed arrest warrant for Senator Dela Rosa is anything other than a figment of Ombudsman Remulla’s fertile imagination,” ani Kaufman.
Dagdag pa ng abogado, hindi makatuwiran para sa ICC na maglabas ng karagdagang warrant habang hindi pa nareresolba ang isyu ng hurisdiksiyon nito sa imbestigasyon kaugnay ng war on drugs ng admi-nistrasyong Duterte.
“It goes against all common sense and prosecutorial logic for the ICC to issue further warrants in the context of the Philippines investigation until the issue of its ability to exercise jurisdiction over the so-called war on drugs has been finally resolved on appeal,” dagdag pa nito.
