Kasalukuyang inihahanda ang pagdadala kay Pangulong Nicolás Maduro ng Venezuela sa New York upang humarap sa mga kaso sa isang pederal na hukuman sa Manhattan.

Inihayag na may kasamang mga FBI agent ang US special operations forces sa pagdakip kay Maduro.

Matagal nang bumubuo ang US Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) ng kaso laban kay Maduro at ilang matataas na opisyal ng militar ng Venezuela, na inaasahang magiging batayan ng mga kasong isasapubliko laban sa kanya.

Nauna nang sinabi ni US Attorney General Pam Bondi na haharap si Maduro sa “buong bigat ng hustisya ng Amerika” sa sandaling maisalang siya sa mga korte ng Estados Unidos.
